Paul Branton is a Sydney-based composer. He was brought up by art-loving parents and was exposed to different varieties of music during his childhood. He is mostly self-taught in music composition.

Branton’s music ranges from the deeply introspective, to the intimately lyrical, and the wildly energetic.

In his album "In The Distance" (2020), Branton has tried to tie eastern and western classical music together by blending the ancient sounding Robab with the classical strings.
